Materica

Materica was founded on a single conviction: that metal surfaces, properly understood, are among the most expressive materials available to designers and architects. The studio develops proprietary treatments — bronze, brass, copper, zinc, iron — applied directly to furniture, walls, floors, and architectural elements.

Each finish begins with a base material and is built up through layered application, hand-working, and chemical patination. The result is a surface with genuine depth — one that reads differently under different light conditions and develops further character over time.

Materica works on both production pieces and bespoke architectural commissions, collaborating closely with designers and contractors to specify and execute finishes appropriate to each project's material language.
